Abstract: | One of the promising applications of pi-gelators is in organic electronics. Fluorescence of pi- gelators is another property that has great potential to be tapped for application in sensing and imaging. Anisotropic physical gels and hybrid gels are also promising materials that combine the gelator properties with other compatible materials. Especially, a combination of organic−inorganic structures within the same matrix may lead to enhanced properties for better applications. |
