Abstract: Using a metal templating strategy, 5,15-porphodimethene metal complexes were synthesized and their structure confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis. The anagostic interaction causes distortion, while the hydrogen bonding interactions generate dimerisation and array formation in these complexes.
