Abstract: Strontiumcoppersilicate(SrCuSi4O10:SCS)–Lithiummagnesiumborosilicate(LMZBS)glasscompositehasbeendevelopedforlowtemperature cofiredceramic(LTCC)applications.TheSCSceramicwith5wt%LMZBSglasssinteredat900 1C had εr¼5.0andtan δ¼1.9 10 3 at 5GHz. ThetapecastingslurryofSCSþ5 wt%LMZBSglasswithtypicalpseudo-plasticbehaviorhasbeenpreparedbyoptimizingdifferentorganic additives.Theslurrywascastintothintapesofthickness90 mm. Thegreentapehad εr of2.2andtan δ of1.8 10 2 at 5GHz.Thethermo- laminatedtapesinteredat900 1C showed εr¼4.8andtan δ¼1.6 10 3 at 5GHzand4.7and1.9 10 3 at15GHzrespectively.Thecomposite showedchemicalcompatibilitywiththesilverelectrodematerialandshowednearlyzerocoefficientoflinearthermalexpansion(CTE).
