Abstract: The development of environmentally friendly strategies for the synthesis of organic compounds is a fundamental key to synthetic chemistry. Isoxazole has been constantly evaluated and has been used in many biological applications for a decade. Particularly, isoxazole heterocycle has received countless interest because of various applications in the medicinal, agrochemical, catalytic and industrial felds. Because of the intensive rate of toxic solvents and additives used within the synthetic method, greener methods have been adopted using the eco-friendly solvent system, microwave, ultrasonic-induced and a few nature-friendly techniques for the synthesis of isoxazole analogues. The benefts of the green and efcient synthetic pathways utilized to create isoxazole analogues are discussed in this literature review. Therefore, the current review thus presents various greener approaches followed for the synthesis of isoxazole analogues.
