dc.description.abstract | Anew fused core-modified 32p heptaphyrin with Mçbiusaromatic character is reported. The 1 HNMR data indicated aweak Mçbius aromaticityat298 K; however,at213–183K,the molecule predominates [4n]p Mçbiusconformation with strong diatropic ring current, which was further confirmed by X-ray analysis. The protonation experiment led to preservation of the Mçbius aromaticity at 298 K. Nevertheless, the experimental results were furthersupportedbytheoretical studies.Overall, this study represents the first example of Mçbius aromatic fused core-modified expanded porphyrin | en_US |
