The three component reaction involving isocyanides, dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and quinoneimides: a facile synthesis of spirofused gamma-iminolactams

Abstract

The three component reaction of the zwitterion generated from dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and isocyanides with various quinoneimides is described. The reaction afforded the corresponding gamma-spiroiminolactams in good yields.
