dc.description.abstract Most widely used commercial magnesium alloys for automotive applications are AZ91D (Mg-9Al.lZn), Am50 (Mg-5Al-0.4Mn) and AM60B (Mg-6Al-0.4Mn). These alloys have poor creep resistance at a temperature above 120 degree celsius. The present study deals with the effect of individual and combined addition of antimony and silicon in AZ91D magnesium alloy on the microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion behavior. en_US
