Abstract:
The present communication investigates the microwave dielectric properties of Ca2+xLa8-x(SiO4)(6-x)(PO4)(x)O-2 (x = 0, 2, 4, and 6) ceramics. The ceramics have been prepared by the conventional solid state ceramic route. The compositions with x = 2 and 4 are found to be solid solutions of Ca8La2(PO4)(6)O-2 and Ca2La8(SiO4)(6)O-2. The composition Ca4La6(SiO4)(4)(PO4)(2)O-2 (x = 2) has good microwave dielectric properties with epsilon(r) = 13.8, Q(u) x f = 27 900 GHz at 8.47 GHz and tau(f) = -11 ppm/degrees C.
